VSA'S NEW INITIATIVE:

All Girls Literacy, Numeracy & Digital Literacy Course

VSA empowers students in a safe online environment and uses empathy-driven, student-centred pedagogy where lessons (Literacy, Digital Literacy and Numeracy) are developed and delivered by experienced and qualified educators. Our students for this initiative are girls only who can access the internet on their mobile devices or Computers. The flexibility of this program is crucial; therefore, the lessons and contents will be both synchronous and asynchronous so that the students can access the content and tasks at their convenience.

Digital technologies will be used to deliver lessons and assess students' progress.

Learning and assessment tools and resources will be easily accessible to students. Unlike printed materials, students can access their content and tasks on Mobile devices. Educators will interact with girls individually and in groups to guide them to monitor their progress and provide feedback of students' literacy and numeracy skills.

This Literacy & Numeracy Immersion programme will have THREE Components:

• Comprehending texts through listening, reading, viewing and decoding visual texts.
• Composing texts in English, through speaking, writing and creating visual texts (digital technology).
• The other focus will be on Numeracy and its essential use and application. Students will use, interpret and communicate mathematical information to engage in and manage the mathematical demands of various situations. For example, understanding nutrition information, adjusting medications for family members, Calculating prices and Budgeting using a calculator.

* Class Attendance: Once a Week for one hour class via Zoom.

* The weekly task will be emailed to you. 

You can attend the Class on a Weekday or Weekend or Both.

In addition, you will have one on one brief Meetings with your educator.

All Girls' Literacy & Numeracy is a FREE Course.

After each Semester's (20 weeks) Course, students will receive certificates and awards.
